Booking an Escort Outside Central London

Why the roster sits where it does, the three mile rule, and when coming into town is the better evening rather than the compromise.

Nearly everything written about booking an escort assumes you are in zone one. Most of London is not, and the practical questions outside it are different enough to be worth setting out properly.

Why the roster sits where it does

Not preference. Building stock.

An incall needs a particular kind of address: a mansion block or a porter building, with a lift, a lot of tenants and an entrance nobody watches. Those exist in quantity in a fairly small part of London, which is why the roster clusters in the centre and the west rather than spreading evenly across the map.

The other half of the answer is legal. A premises used by more than one person is a brothel, so escorts work one to an address, which means the supply follows the flats rather than the demand. Our guide on what counts as a brothel explains why that single line shapes the whole map.

The two ways it can work

She travels to you. An outcall. Straightforward within a few miles, and increasingly less so beyond that.

You travel in. An incall in the centre. Almost always cheaper, and the choice of escort is far wider.

Most people only consider the first, which is why a lot of enquiries go nowhere. The second is frequently the better evening. See incall or outcall for how the two compare generally.

The three mile rule

The single most useful thing on this page.

Most escorts do not travel much beyond about three miles for a standard booking. It is not a policy, it is arithmetic: an hour each way on top of an hour’s booking is three hours of an evening for one fee, and no rate covers that.

So the honest picture, by distance:

  • Under three miles. An ordinary outcall. Add thirty to fifty pounds for travel and there is nothing else to think about.
  • Three to eight miles. Workable, better with notice, and much easier for a two hour booking than a one hour one.
  • Eight to fifteen miles. Possible but not the default. Ask rather than assume.
  • Beyond fifteen. Rare for a standard booking. This is where coming in stops being a compromise and starts being the better plan.

Every area page on this site states the distance to the nearest escort, so you can see which band you are in before you ring.

What it costs, either way

Outcall generally runs thirty to fifty pounds above the incall rate. Further out it sits at the upper end, and past a certain distance it stops being quoted at all.

Coming in removes that surcharge entirely. Add a train fare and you are usually still ahead, before counting the fact that the centre has several times the choice. What a London booking costs sets out the rest.

Notice is the thing that actually helps

In zone one, same day is normal. Ten minutes from a flat in Bayswater to a hotel in Marylebone is nothing to arrange.

Further out, same day means whoever happens to be free and willing to travel, which is a short list. A day’s notice turns that into a real choice, and two days means more or less anybody. It costs nothing and it is the difference between an evening you chose and one you settled for.

If you are coming in anyway

This is where the good bookings are, and it is worth planning as an evening rather than an errand.

From most of Greater London the centre is twenty to thirty minutes. From the commuter belt it is often quicker than crossing London itself: St Albans is twenty minutes into St Pancras, Reading twenty five into Paddington, Brentwood forty on the Elizabeth line without changing.

Once you are here, the shape that works is a longer booking rather than a short one. A dinner date or an overnight justifies the journey in a way an hour does not, and a hotel removes the last train from the equation entirely. See London hotel bookings. For the longer version, see how overnight bookings work.

What does not change

Rates are on the profile wherever you are. There is no zone pricing, no booking fee, and nothing settled with the agency. Payment is cash, left visible at the start, exactly as it would be in Mayfair. See how to pay.

The short version

Check the distance on the area page. Under three miles, book an outcall. Over fifteen, book a train and a longer evening. In between, ring and ask, and give a day’s notice if you can.
